History

Froggy Frog Games was founded when Anton realized his dream actually has a chance of becoming reality. Jello, our first game, was just a side-project, when it gained some attention from players and publishers at Indigo 2020. Anton is not a EU citizen, so in order to stay in Europe and continue development of Jello full time, he needed to get an entrepeneur visa. Fortunately, Dutch Game Garden, the company that runs Indigo, also acts as a facilitator for entrepeneurs. So, Anton joined the Dutch Game Garden incubation program, and founded Froggy Frog Games. He was also joined by Thomas van den Heuvel, who became a full-time artist for the company

Anton and Thomas went on full steam, making the dream a reality, and turning Jello into a real game. They had about a years worth of budget, and the plan was to attract publishers while developing the vertical slice and the tech for the game. The development was pretty smooth, and the game got in shape, but the business side of the things was not so well. Unfortunately, during that year, no publishers went through funding the full scale project that they had in mind. In the end, the vertical slice and most of the tech for the game was finished, but the game was not, and the full-time work had to stop for a while

After taking some time off making Jello, Anton felt that it would be a shame to not finish what was started and release Jello, even if it was not yet at it's full potential. So he fixed the stuff that was unfinished, outsourced some final art to friends, and tied it all in a neat package.
